Complete Kitchen & Bath Planning and Design
Transforming your dream kitchen into reality begins very simply
-- by scheduling an initial showroom visit with a designer to discuss your remodeling goals and budget. It’s free &
the best way to get to know us and see how we work and for us to understand your needs.
We are trained specialty
designers, so your visit will be an exciting opportunity to talk about all the possibilities—even some you may not know
of. Most people remodel their kitchens only once in a lifetime, so we want to make it a fun and rewarding experience for you
and we want you to LOVE your new kitchen.
Perhaps you’ve admired neighbors’ new kitchens or baths or
viewed exciting designs in stores, on websites or in a magazine. Now you are ready to take the next step.
The choices
are almost limitless and include such popular options as granite or soap stone countertops, Custom Cabinetry, specialty &
built-in appliances, unique flooring choices such as bamboo, hardwood, stone & tile, central island workspaces, and details
like furniture toe or hand carved corbles which are almost works of art by themselves. And of course, pulling it all
together, is our specialty. We’re here to guide and help you through the process.
We’ll introduce
you to a wide range of designs, colors and textures and we encourage feedback on what fits your own sense of style. Then,
based on your needs and budget, we’ll start the design process to give you the kitchen or bath of your dreams.
How we work: If you decide to move forward and start this design process with us,
we’ll come out to your home and get measurements, take pictures, and spend some time with you to go over the details.
This is the time that you’ll pull out your notebook or file of items you’ve collected over the years to incorporate
into your new kitchen. Taste is obviously a very personal choice, and while we always like to show you the latest trends,
we place a premium on listening to you and incorporating your own needs. We’ll also tell you if we think you’re
making a poor choice and offer you another option.
Then we’ll take this information back to our office and
start the initial design process. We’ll try to come up with several different options for you to see. We’ll meet
back at the showroom and go over these design layouts. After we have your input, we can finalize the design. We’ll get
together again at the showroom and go over this design in detail. At this point, we can then put together a quotation for
you. We may have to bring the guys out to have them look at the project to firm up pricing during this process. At this point,
it’s all up to you as far as the timing goes. There are still a lot of choices that have to be made prior to the contract
stage and the time it takes you to get through this process affects the start of the project. We help you & hold your
hand along the way to make these decisions. Once we sign the contract, the only choices left are usually plumbing fixtures,
knob/handles, granite selection (which involves going to the granite yard to choose your slabs), backsplash material, and
any pendant lighting, if included in the design. The cabinets are usually on order at this point. The final selections are
firmed up within two weeks of signing the contract. This allows us to generate the schedule for the job. We really do stick
to a schedule. When we run into little things we may not have expected at times, we have plenty of time to take care of those
issues because of our scheduled “open days”. We know how hard it is to be without your kitchen or bath, so we
want to make sure you are back in action as soon as possible. Imagine that!! A written schedule for a project like this. It’s
that simple with Midtown Kitchens.
Taking advantage of our full range of services minimizes the stress and bother
of remodeling your home - and saves you time and money.
